Oh what we will put up with for a nice steak. The traffic was bumper to bumper as we headed down Pleasant Hill Road towards Stoney River Steakhouse. But believe me, it was worth it. We've been there a number of times in the past and if you love a good steak, this is a great place to visit. Besides their food, they have a nice wine list, as well

It wasn't too busy when we got there. They seated us immediately (although we had called ahead of time) and we were met with a wonderful waitress who immediately brought us our beverages and rolls.

I'm sure you've been to different restaurants where their breads were different. One restaurant has long oblong bread, another has hard bread. This restaurant served the hottest and "gooiest" bread I think I have ever experienced. It was SO good. So much so, that we asked for a second helping AND THEN we ask for a third to take home with us.

I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes AND a loaded potatoe. It was delicious. I could only eat one of the pieces of meatloaf. I took the other one home and made meatloaf sandwiches out of it, SLATHERED in mayonnaise. DELICIOUS!!

David had the "Cowboy" Bone-in Rib Eye. He gets that every time. But you can hardly see it because it's hidden behind his mashed potatoes.

And he also had Asparagus.

Neither one of us finished everything so we asked for a "to go" box and they brought us boxes AS WELL AS this bag.

If you are a guest in my hotel, just pull out of the parking lot, to the right. At the light, turn left onto Pleasant Hill Road and cross over the freeway, just behind us. You will go about 15 minutes and they will be on the left, at the intersection of State Bridge Road and Medlock Bridge Road.

If you are not a guest in my hotel, just put the following address into your GPS and it will take you right to the restaurant:

5800 State Bridge Road, Duluth, Ga . . . (Pleasant HIll Road BECOMES State Bridge Road)
