One day, I was down on Cheshire Bridge Road for the purpose of shopping at an antiques store that I like there. And afterwards, I decided to stop in at the Colonnade Restaurant which is just two or three doors down. This restaurant is a landmark in the midtown area, having been here for many many years. And I knew that.

It is not a fancy restaurant and yet, it is STEEPED in atmosphere. I see this as a place that "Julia Sugarbaker" would have gone to (from "Designing Women").

They serve southern type food. In fact, I had their friend chicken, cornbread and peach pie.

This waiter told me that he had been with them for 30 years!! Since my first visit, I went back twice more. It's on a street with thrift stores, other restaurants and antiques stores and, it's just a short walk to the famed Piedmont Road.
It's in midtown on the left of 85 but whether you are a guest or not, the safest way to get there is to put in this address into your GPS. I can't remember just how I got there and I don't want to get your lost. Here is the address:
1879 Cheshire Bridge Road, NE, Atlanta, Ga
